Podia Vs Pude

podia-vs-competition

One of the most effective ways to make money online is by sharing knowledge, teaching others, coaching, or any other similar activities. There are a lot of things to go about this.

First and foremost, there is blogging, which is almost as old as the Internet itself. While some do think that it’s younger cousin, vlogging has replaced it, there are still those who prefer to read what they want to study and not just videos.

And speaking of videos, another angle into which you can learn from is through video essays. These short video presentations can offer a lot of insight into certain topics especially when talking about music, literature, film, or arts in general.

Education is also becoming more popular thanks to video lectures and tutorials. Back in school, Math was a subject that I loved, and my classmates and me would search YouTube tutorials to find solutions to word problems.

It was a new way to learn and educate growing up. It seemed like once again, the knowledge was able to spread wider and was more accessible to a lot more audience.

It was only a matter of time when formal courses, and education would also build a branch on the online world.

It was then, the Course Building Websites were born.podia-logo

For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Legit Marketing Reviews’ YouTube channel. Do check out our article below, however, because it has a comprehensive overview of Podia.

Course Building Websites Podia Vs Pude

Course building websites or to refer to them in their proper name: Learning Management Systems are platforms, services, or websites that deliver digital content, especially educational ones to a desired audience.

One could even say that these websites allow for learning to be delivered remotely. LMS is capable of remote and distance learning. However, it’s not the only one that can do this. Distance learning has been a thing since 1924. Podia Vs Pude

LMS, or distance learning via the internet, is therefore, more precise. LMS can either be hosted locally or via a vendor. Cloud hosting is a common method used by most vendors to host learning materials and courses. This is a SaaS (Software as a Service) model.

Learning Management Systems were especially popular during the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, when face-to-face school learning was impossible due to social distancing and isolation measures taken by different governments around the globe.

Ever since then, LMS websites and vendor sites seem to be here for good. A lot of these websites that have long existed are now becoming household names due to their popularity and usage during the pandemic.

Then new websites have also come out, generating buzz and trying to be the next big thing.

While these sites mostly share a common goal (to be the preferred platform of learning and creating courses) more or less, some of them specialize in certain areas.

Podia an Overview

Podia is a Learning Management System that markets itself as an all-in-one platform. It enables you to sell online courses, coaching, webinars, digital downloads, or you can sell all of them in a bundle.

Among all LMS, it probably is one of the most affordable price plan. It is a great choice for course creators who are searching for an affordable LMS solution. It is affordable and allows you to create unlimited courses and products, which are great for digital product sellers.

The Podia website builder is easy to use and requires no coding. It is ideal for people who want to quickly get their digital courses or products online. That said, this simplicity sacrifices customization.

It is for this reason that there are a lot of users who think that Podia is a bit too rigid and restricting when designing websites. This is because Podia’s website builder doesn’t require coding.

For some features that are lacking, Podia offers a wide range of integrations. From Zoom to Zapier, it allows for various email service providers, payment gateways, and analytics tools to be added to your website.

Podia Features

Podia provides many features that enable users to create websites and personalize them in their own way. It also offers enough tools to conduct your business.

Among the more affordable LMS websites, Podia probably has the best Membership and integration communities. You can even get it on all Podia plans.

Talking about plans, except for the free one, every tier on Podia’s subscription doesn’t take transaction fees from any of your purchases. This means that you own the money no matter what you sell. Podia Vs Pude

  • Interface – Podia’s interface is a minimalistic and sleek UI that greets you when you log in. It is very simple and intuitive that you can access most features mostly within just three clicks. Podia’s Interface is simply far from overwhelming.
  • Course Creation – Podia’s course creation supports text, quiz, coaching, files, as well as embeds. It does not support all lesson types, so it may be slower than the competition.

Podia’s Embed feature is a game changer. There are over 1900+ platforms you can embed from, including Soundcloud, Youtube, and TikTok. Podia allows you to drip content/lessons, so that you can move them around in any way you like.

It has a great course creation feature. However, the absence of retention reports keeps it from being perfect.

  • Marketing – Podia’s marketing features allows for email marketing, however it is a very basic email marketing tool that allows you to send broadcasts and email campaigns. It lacks email templates and there is not really a place for more personalization and automation features.

Podia also offers other marketing features such as the ability to upsell your products, to giveaway coupons to potential customers, and even to pre-launch courses to drum up interest before really going all in.

All in all, Podia’s marketing platform is more than enough to boost the potency of your sales. What really brings it down however is the lack of advanced automation. This is to be expected from a basic platform such as Podia.

  • Design and Customization – This is probably where Podia falls the hardest. While they offer a decent number of customization options, It really isn’t that “customizable”. Most of the things you can do are only about the texts and colors. Podia Vs Pude

There are very few templates available. It does not allow for HTML/Custom CSS customization. While at first this may seem like a bad thing, there are those who would prefer it that way. {Non-techies would probably not notice and would prefer the ease of use.|The ease of use would be preferred by non-techies.

  • Payment Processors – For Payment Processors, Podia integrates Stripe and Paypal for collecting payment from your students. Podia does not charge transaction fees for any sales or transactions you make through your website.

That said, there might be additional fees that come from Stripe or Paypal, as such, you still have to pay for them. Usually these fees are very low so you probably won’t have a problem with them.

Cons

  • Email Composer does not offer personalization options. It even lacks pre-made templates, a drag and drop editor and split-testing.
  • Podia’s system doesn’t have a course compliance feature. The most common report that you will get is the number of people who have completed a course. It lacks details.
  • Podia is very basic in terms of customization. Podia does not support custom CSS/HTML customizations
  • You might need to use third-party apps and services to really create landing pages and sales funnels such as WordPress, or ClickFunnels
  • Only a few lesson types are supported. Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline are not supported. HTML 6 Content, assessments, and other lessons may be missing.
  • The affiliate program is also missing. There is no affiliate commission tiers and affiliate-specific commissions.
  • Podia doesn’t have a mobile app.

Podia versus Kajabi

Kajabi: An Overview

Kajabi is a Learning Management System. It allows users to create products and courses while simultaneously hosting them.

The platform is very sophisticated, and has many features like automation. This makes it ideal for marketers and course creators who have previous experience in this field. To fully utilize Kajabi’s capabilities, users need to have technical knowledge.

Kajabi also allows you to sell coachings, memberships, communities, podcasts as well as other digital products.

Unlike most LMS, Kajabi has a mobile app, given that phones have become the preferred device to use by almost everyone, this really gives it a boost in the market.

Kajabi Features

Kajabi also offers a lot of features to ensure that their higher price point is worth every cent that you pay for. Most of Kajabi’s features, such as their website builder, are extremely customizable.

Marketing tools are probably the best area where Kajabi shines. While it offers the usual bells and whistles, what investors and the Kajabi’s competitors really envy is their automation system. Yes that’s right! Kajabi provides automation in many of its features, including their email.

One more thing that is unique to Kajabi is its Pipelines. Kajabi’s pipelines offer a lot to eliminate the need for funnel-building tools like ClickFunnel and other websites.

  • Interface – Logging in to Kajabi brings you to its dashboard. It looks neat and minimal with little to no clutter. It has a modern, minimalist aesthetic. It is also easy to use. You can get to all of Kajabi’s features within 3 to 5 clicks.

Kajabi’s homepage includes a search assistant. This can be used to help you navigate the site if you get lost or are too lazy to click on things. This can redirect you to features and tools inside of the Kajabi app.

Kajabi’s page load times are very fast and provide you a smooth experience.

  • Course Creation – Kajabi’s course creation is very robust. First of all, it allows you to make different types of categories. You can choose the best option based on the course you’re presenting to students.

You can choose from: mini-courses, online courses, drip courses, or do a custom one of your own. Kajabi offers templates or blueprints to help you create your courses. It already gives you a “skeleton” of the course, and all you have to do is fill it up with content.

Kajabi allows you to organize your course in categories or subcategories. That way, you can decide how you present these courses to your students. This is particularly useful if you are slowly introducing your content.

Kajabi lets you use text, audio, video, assessments, images, and files to create your courses. These content can be combined and added to a single course. As of the moment, Kajabi does not offer live lessons.

The student’s side. Kajabi’s course delivery offers a sleek and minimal design. There is no clutter that can serve as a distraction to your students.

  • Marketing – Kajabi provides all the products you need to sell your products. It allows you to sell coupons, upsells, and order bumps. This stuff can be customized to give you more value for money.

Kajabi’s strongest point is email marketing. You can send broadcasts and email sequences using this tool. Kajabi’s email marketing also provides you with various email templates. Podia Vs Pude

Kajabi can send any type of email, no matter what it is. Kajabi’s email marketing is even more powerful when it is combined with an automation function.

It makes your job easier and faster. You have many options. WIth Kajabi, you also don’t need to avail of 3rd party sales funnels. You can also customize their pipelines.

When used properly and effectively, it will increase your customer conversion rate leading to more sales. Podia Vs Pude

  • Design and Customization – Kajabi’s design options are among the most customizable in the market. Even the lowest plans offer a variety of themes you can choose to match your brand or course. These themes have a very professional look.

You can even upload your own theme if you want to. You can access their code editor if you purchase the top Kajabi plan. This allows you to customize even the smallest details.

As for the Page Builder, Kajabi allows you to design course pages, membership site, checkout pages, landing pages and even more. They also utilize a block system and each block can be customized. They are page-specific and function-specific.

  • For Payment Processing, Kajabi unfortunately does not have its own native payment gateway. It integrates Stripe and PayPal as well as other third-party integrations. Some regions have even more gateways.

As for those regions who don’t have integration, you can use third party integration through Webhooks or Zapier.

Kajabi provides the checkout page on one page. This page can be personalized to include testimonials and sales videos to increase your product sales.

Kajabi price

It is robust and features-rich. Kajabi has the highest rates among all the LMS services found on the internet. You cannot also get a free trial. It has also become a common practice to include names for the different tiers that their plans have.

Kajabi offers the Basic, Growth, and Pro plans. All plans also give you access to Kajabi University. This is Kajabi’s very own knowledge base that can help users with its functionality.

Podia versus Teachable

Teachable an Overview

Teachable is one of the most popular online courses platforms. This LMS can be used by teachers, course creators, coaches, and entrepreneurs to teach as well as for business. These courses and coaching can be sold together.

Teachable’s greatest strength is its course compliance feature. This feature is mostly missing from most LMS and online course platforms. If they do have this feature, it will probably be lacking or not as advanced or robust.

Teachable offers advanced reports about student progress and video analytics to demonstrate student engagement.

Teachable also does not depend on integration for its payment gateways, opting for their own system instead. It even handles EU/VAT making your life and those of your European Students easier overall.

Teachable is also one of the most affordable LMSs available. It even offers a free plan that allows you to sell one course only. It does have its limitations. This plan is free and can be extremely useful if you are just starting out.

Teachable Features

  • Interface – Teachable’s interface looks very modern and is quite neat. The right sidebar contains most features. It may take three to four clicks to get to sub-features.

It does not have a search function but that is primarily because of how easy it is to get from one option to another.

Teachable’s pages load slower than other LMSs, but this is not noticeable and I wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasn’t actively comparing websites.

  • Course Creation – As for course creation proper, Teachable does not provide templates or pipelines for you to use. This setup can be difficult, especially for newbies in web design.

The sections of a course or content are divided into sections. Lectures can be found within each section. You can choose to use text, video, files or quizzes.

These files can be combined into one lecture. For example, you could add a quiz to a video lecture. Although this may seem like a difficult task, Teachable offers a bulk upload option that makes it easier to upload your files quicker.

These files can be uploaded once they are saved.

As for delivery, Teachable also allows for drip scheduling, meaning you can drip your content depending on when your student enrolled. That said, this feature only drips sections and not lectures. Podia Vs Pude

There is also the course player. This allows students to add notes to their learning experience. One downside however, is that to customize this player, you need to use the power editor.

In which case, people who do not know how to code might find themselves lost.

Teachable’s Course Compliance feature is also worth noting. This feature is where Teachable really shines among the competition. This feature allows you to control the way students see and consume your lectures.

From deciding the lecture order to making sure they watch the whole video lecture. You can even use quizzes as a checkpoint before they can proceed or pass a lecture.

You can then pass the results on to Teachable for detailed reports. This is yet another tool you can use in order to teach students effectively.

  • Marketing – Teachable offers basic marketing features such as free previews, coupons, and pre-selling a course. These features function in the same way as the LMS marketing features, and serve the same purpose: to encourage others to purchase your products.

Teachable offers basic email marketing features. However, it lacks some key features such as sequences, templates and automations.

One thing that Teachable lacks is a dedicated affiliate program. Because of this, you need to make affiliates on your own. That said, it does allow you to make affiliates for your product.

These affiliates will be paid through the website’s own payment gateways by Teachable. Podia Vs Pude

  • Design and Customization – In terms of overall theme, Teachable is really not that customizable. You can only choose one theme. You can only customize very few things like the logo and branding, the fonts, as well as the theme and background color.

smiling-man

> > Click Here to Check Out Podia < <

Nevertheless, if you pay for the business plan, you will have access to the power editor. This allows you to use custom code to modify the theme of the page.

The page builder proper is more customizable than expected. They provide you with several building blocks depending on your needs. They even include block layouts for banners, images with text, email. And even pricing for your products.

Like the themes, you can also use CSS/HTML to code in stuff to personalize your website more.

  • Payment Processors – Teachable is the only LMS service that has its own payment gateway. There are two payment options: Monthly Payment Gateway and Teachable Payments. Students from EU can use the Monthly Payment Gateway to handle EU/VAT calculations.

Teachable also has “Back Office” which is a service that will handle all affiliate payout. Unfortunately, to access the old Stripe or PayPal services, you will need to be on their professional plans.

Overall, Teachable Payment Processors make it easier for your students and customers to easily make payments and checkouts.

Teachable price

Teachable offers four plans in total if we count the free one. These plans are similar to the others in terms of accessibility and features. We have listed the features and prices of each plan to help you choose which plan is right for you. That said, you can try the free plan, which acts as a free trial to test Teachable’s environment.

Thinkific versus Podia

The Overview of Thinkific

Thinkific, another LMS service, puts course building at its forefront. You can create a website and then start building your courses.

Thinkific is also very easy to use and as such, it is one of the most beginner friendly online course creators on the market. It is so user-friendly that Thinkific offers a free plan which allows you to create up to three courses with no investment. They do charge a transaction fee.

Thinkific flaunts itself as the “go-to platform for running an online course business”.

Thinkific’s core focus is on its curriculum creation capabilities. This is why the course creation features are the most important.

However, this means that their marketing and selling aspects are not that good.

Useful Features

  • Interface – Logging in to Thinkific will take you to the admin area. This is your central point for all things Thinkific Platform.

The sidebar allows you to access every feature that Thinkific has to offer. Usually, these features are found and arranged in a logical manner. You might not be able to find certain features in the places you think they should be.

Overall, the thinkific interface may be decent, but there are parts where it feels clunky and unoptimized.

  • Course Creation – Thinkific’s greatest strength is found on its course creation mechanism. You have many options to make your course enjoyable, even if you don’t pay for it.

Thinkific’s platform allows you to use different types of media such as videos, pdf, audio, Google docs, captivates, storylines, among others. You can also bulk upload your content to Thinkific. However, this bulk upload is limited and you will have to look at and organize each lesson individually in order to fully customize them.

Thinkific also allows for drip-feeding your content to easily pace out and manage your course. Podia Vs Pude

While it does not have a course compliance option like that of Teachable, Thinkific allows you to incentivize your students by using awards, leaderboards as well as scoring to motivate them in finishing your course.

Thinkific also allows you to manage your course in different ways. You can also manage discussions, answer students’ questions, and approve or deny discussions.

Thinkific also allows you to manage quizzes and assignments as much as possible.

  • Marketing – This is where Thinkific is weakest. Their marketing features are limited to the essentials. Worse, it may only be available for a specific tier or higher.

Thinkific offers course bundles that can be used to create a membership website.

Thinkific does not have a sales funnel builder. You will also need integration. Even so, the checkout process is somewhat cumbersome and offers limited customization.

Thinkific’s email marketing is also severely limited. You can only send your marketing emails to students who are already enrolled in your courses. As such, the best you can do is to tell them about new courses or products as well as send the email updates.

Thinkific also allows you to add affiliates to promote your courses and products. It allows you to choose how much commission you want.

Affiliates will have their own dashboard that allows them to track the performance of each unique affiliate link. However, the affiliate tracking pixel cannot be changed and is permanently set to 30 days.

  • Design and Customization – Thinkinfic has a decent level of customizability. They offer three themes to choose from. You can then select from these three themes, your theme styles. These styles can be thought of as presets that allow you to choose your site’s aesthetic.

However, they are not as customizable as Kajabi. Thinkific also allows you to import developer coded themes. You can customize your themes with code if you have the technical knowledge.

Thinkific also offers a drag-and-drop page builder. Each block in this builder is called a “section” and there are 20. It’s very simple to use, and you can add sections to your page in just one click. Podia Vs Pude

  • Payment Processors – Thinkific has their own payment processor called Thinkific Payments. This is part of a tool called TCommerce suite of tools. This tool offers seamless shopping, subscriptions and payment plans.

This is not available in Canada, the UK and the USA. Outside of those regions, Stripe and Paypal integrations are the other alternatives.

The Thinkific Price

Thinkific offers four plans, including a free one. Their free plan is one of the best as it give you the most features only being limited to the number of courses you can make and sell with them.

Thinkific also offers a Growth option that provides more powerful tools to their Pro plan. Other than that, they also offer Thinkific Plus for enterprise clients.

The Verdict Podia Vs PudePodia Vs Pude

We can now see how Podia compares with other Learning Management Systems. This will help you find the best platform for your courses, products, and businesses.

Verdict: Podia versus Kajabi

Podia and Kajabi function pretty similarly as they are both all-in-one platforms. Choosing one or the other comes down to two factors: price and customizability. Podia Vs Pude

Podia is the best choice if you are looking for an all-in-one platform that’s affordable and doesn’t require much customization. Podia is affordable and allows unlimited course uploads.

If you don’t have the budget but still want a personal touch, Kajabi is the right choice. Kajabi offers advanced automation and automation for marketing that will make it easier to update your customers and market to them.

Verdict: Podia versus Teachable

This matchup is much more difficult to compare to the one above. Teachable and Podia are experts in different areas. Your business’s direction would determine your decision.

You should choose Podia if what you need is mostly to sell courses, coachings, memberships, and other digital products, you would need more of a digital platform. As such, Podia would better fit your needs.

You should choose Teachable if you want to focus more on the “course” and “teaching” part. Teachable has a more robust course building platform compared to Podia. Teachable’s most distinctive feature is its course compliance, which allows you to monitor the progress of your students.

Verdict: Thinkific versus Podia

There is nothing really much to say here except for the fact that Thinkific is basically like a cheaper version of Teachable, as such picking between these two would be basically the same as picking between Podia and Teachable

You should choose Podia if you wish to focus on selling your digital products and you would prefer an all in one digital platform. Podia also has a more robust marketing tool compared to Thinkific, so that would be a plus for some people.

If you prefer to make courses than pay Teachable’s high prices, Thinkific is the right choice. Thinkific is also a good platform to get used to making online courses with, as their free plan requires little to no investment, despite being more limited. Thinkific does not have a course compliance feature. Instead, it focuses on positive and incentivized motivation. Podia Vs Pude

Knowledge is the greatest gift that life has to offer. Life would not be the same without the knowledge that we have today.

For most of human history, the way we learn and give knowledge has remained largely unchanged. It usually involves a teacher and student relation or a master and apprentice relation. The one who receives the instruction is the most likely to be the teacher.

There are also those who learn on their own. Advancements in reading and writing have made self-study possible. With detailed instruction books, anyone can learn without the need for a teacher or master.

The internet revolution followed. The internet revolution has been widely believed to have transformed education and learning. However, the internet did not change the way people consume and receive information.

In my opinion, what the internet really did best was to democratize knowledge in a scale that had been unseen since the rise of instructional films and even the invention of the printing press even before that.

Teachers and teachers of the heart were able to share their knowledge via the internet to people they didn’t know. It enabled education and knowledge to cross borders without the need for visas or a flight ticket.

While most of it started on unlikely websites such as youtube and vimeo, or maybe even written blogs. We now have dedicated websites that allow people to teach courses.

For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Legit Marketing Reviews’ YouTube channel. To get a comprehensive overview of Podia, you may still want to check out our article below.

Podia a Brief Overview Podia Vs Pude

Podia is an online platform that allows people to share their knowledge of different things while also making money. Podia customers create online courses that can be tailored to their students. They can then put these courses on the platform and sell them to their own customers.

In a way, Podia not only gives you tools to create an online course, it also hosts them.

Podia’s market is not limited to online courses. Podia is one of the most popular digital content selling platforms. These content could include the mentioned online courses. This content could include coaching, webinars and community as well as digital products.

The company behind Podia has New York City as its headquarters. It has additional offices also in Austin Texas. Although it is relatively new, it seems somewhat old in internet terms. It was launched in 2014 by Spencer Fry, a man who is behind it.

Fry wanted a platform to give online creators an easier way to sell their products and connect with their audiences. Fry wanted it to be easier, but also provide a friendly and welcoming environment for people.

Podia, a website that is intuitive, powerful, and user-friendly, was created from scratch.

Why use Podia?

Podia is a standout among the many online platforms, mainly because of its creator-friendly policies. Podia has a digital shopfront that allows for instant payment from sales and does not charge any transaction fees. Yep, that’s right, podia takes no money for any transaction you make.

Podia extends its creator-friendly policies in the way their platform works. With an intuitive and comprehensive platform, creatives are able to execute their great ideas and visions even if they lack the technical know-how.

Podia even makes it easy to navigate the hurdle of getting the digital content to the market.

Even for those who already have an established digital content, Podia is still a very viable platform to transfer to. Other digital platforms can offer too many features that could be considered as an overkill. Although too many options might seem appealing at first glance, it can lead to overwhelming experiences.

This lack of focus may even be the cause of why your business is going into decline. Podia’s easy-to-use platform is an excellent choice. Podia Vs Pude

Your membership site and your selling platform can be linked to each other through Podia’s website. This is much better than if your membership site is hosted separately from the product. Not only is this a hassle, it removes precious time that you can use to create.

In short, using Podia allows you to focus on the “creating” side of things rather than the logistics and business side.

What Podia Can Do

Podia promotes themselves as ” Everything you need to know about creating, validating, and marketing online courses, all in one convenient place.” As such, to be able to back this claim, the platform has a bunch of features geared exactly for that.

A Custom Website Builder

Their custom website builder enables users to create custom landing pages that suit what you ad your brand are selling. Podia offers you to build this custom website with a custom domain or as a subdomain to Podia.

So podia offers you the flexibility of a more customized website and the simplicity of everything in one place.

A Email Marketing System

Podia allows you to have an automated email marketing system that allows you to send one-time broadcasts, as well as automated campaigns. Although you can also access this service via other websites, Podia’s tool is sufficient.

You can save even more money by using the one Podia offers.

Their email editor is also very elegant. It even allows you to create automated sequences that are geared depending on the buyer.

A Live Messaging Widget

If you want to respond quickly to customers’ questions, live messaging is a great option. Quick customer service is something that most people look for nowadays. This widget allows you to communicate with customers instantly.

Capabilities of Affiliate Marketing Program

Affiliate marketing is essential if you wish to expand your product line. Podia users can take advantage of the capabilities afforded by the platform. Users can increase their reach and sales by using partner promotion.

Digital Storefronts

Of course, you won’t be able to show your products without a place to display them. You can also advertise new or featured products on your digital storefront. Podia allows you to build an online store that holds your products exclusively.

This storefront can be set up by any customer without the need for programming, programming, or design skills. It’s all thanks to the no coding approach implemented by Podia.

Course Dashboard

For services like Podia, the way customers are able navigate their content is another crucial factor on which service they would like to avail. For Podia, you are able to navigate this with just a few clicks using Podia’s intuitive interface.

Uploading and sharing your lessons, whether they are videos, audio podcasts or PDF documents, has never been easier.

Drip Content

Podia also gives you control on the schedule of your posting. Such a feature is especially important if you don’t want to blow your load of lessons at just a single opportunity.

Course creators have the option to “choose when they want to schedule their content”. This system benefits both the teacher and student (Main Podia customer), as it allows students to stay focused and not get overwhelmed.

Meanwhile with automatic Drip Content, the teacher does not need to manually update each post to give another lesson or release another product.

Payment Integrations

Without payment integration, every feature is useless. Podia’s payment integrations include credit cards, PayPal payments for customers worldwide. Podia Vs Pude

Membership Areas

Through Podia, you can create a membership area for your customers. You can offer your customers a membership area for a monthly or annual fee. They will receive exclusive content in return. You can even host giveaways there.

Membership areas are a great way of building customer trust and even a close community. It is a good idea to have a place you can set it up easily.

What is Podia like?

This review wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t give you a true picture of the service. We will be looking at Podia’s Course Creation and Engagement Section as well as Site Design and Customization and Sales and Marketing to see how they feel.

typing-on-laptop

Course Creation and Engagement

First and foremost, we should tackle how the Podia handles course creation. This is especially crucial as of course, this is the main reason why users would like to pay for the Podia Service.

For course creation, you can create an unlimited number of courses on Podia. This means that there is no limit and no additional fees whenever you feel offering a new course.

As for the lessons proper, Podia allows text, embed, quiz, coaching, and files. Podia has very few lesson types. Podia also does not offer assessments, Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline, HTML5 content types, and custom codes.

It can embed, but it has a few limitations. Podia can embed lots. Podia can embed on over 1900+ platforms. These include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Dailymotion, vimeo and Youtube for video content
  • Spotify SoundCloud and PodBean Audio podcasts
  • Slide Share, Presentation, and Speaker Deck
  • Twitter, TikTok and Behance.
  • Github, Codepen
  • Google Forms, Typeform, and Paper Form

As for the side of the students, Podia made itself easy to navigate especially for your potential students. Your students can navigate your course easily. You can use your automated emails and drip content to make for a more enjoyable experience.

You can even add in a quiz and offer a certificate of completion to your students for completing a course. Of course, these features are optional.

It is important to remember that Podia can only feature courses. The service allows you to sell webinars, bundles, coaching, as well as other digital files.

By integrating the multiple websites mentioned above, you can create webinars as well as replay of these webinars to your customers. You can even bundle them along with your courses to create a more comprehensive package.

Site Design and Customization

Podia provides templates for your website that will allow you to quickly get to the fun part. This is also true when making your product landing pages too.

As stated, creating your product website or your landing pages is quite easy. You can choose what you want to include on each page. You can even rearrange these pages just by dragging and dropping. You can also remove sections that you don’t need.

Podia has a good selection of customization options. Podia offers both the basics of fonts and colors, as well as customizable text box options. However, that’s almost what you get. This is why there are a lot of people who think Podia can be a little restrictive when talking about design.

Podia must make this sacrifice in order to keep his website design page flexible and ready-to-use. Bear in mind, Podia’s site design page requires no coding. It is all drag and drop.

As for adding custom code they say it is available, but I haven’t found the option of where it is.

As stated above, Podia allows you to sell other stuff aside from courses. However, you need to have more than one digital product in the storefront for this feature to work. That is an easy job though. You can do the same for these products like how you designed your websites.

To create unique sections for each product, you can use your landing page or front page. That way, it is simple for your students and customers to navigate and buy what they need.

Speaking of buying, the checkout page for the products has a smart and simple design. There is little to no clutter. It is simple to convert every customer into a buyer because there are no distractions distracting their attention while they pay.

Overall, when it comes to customization, Podia offers a decent number of features. You won’t feel overwhelmed by all the options available.

Although Podia’s design offerings might seem restrictive to some, for others the simplicity of Podia’s designs is all they need. Podia Vs Pude

Marketing and Sales

Lastly, let’s talk about Podia’s marketing and sales capabilities. This is also an important part of the Podia experience, or any course-creating platform in general as this gives you an idea how easy it is to sell to your potential customers.

You have two options for payment: Stripe and PayPal. You can offer your customers a flexible and customizable payment plan. You can either give them a one time big time payment or you can spread the payment overtime.

This is entirely up to you.

As for the payment processing, Podia handles everything for you, so you don’t need to worry about anything. Stripe, a PCI compliant payment processor, securely stores your credit card and payment information.

Unlike other services, Podia offers no transaction fees. This means that the sale is yours and Podia doesn’t get any commission. However, Stripe and PayPal fees still apply so you will have to pay those. The same applies to all platforms.

Podia provides basic tools for lead generation. They even allow you to offer a pre-launch sign-up form as well as a newsletter signup form to collect email addresses.

You can send both automated and one-off emails through their email marketing. This allows you to send email campaigns to your customers both current and potential.

You can also customize your campaign emails to be sent in drip-out fashion and specify when they will be delivered.

But, they are very basic and cannot replace your email service provider.

A real landing page capability and list management are two things that are missing. These are two very important things, but they are essential for your email marketing platform. Luckily, you can use third party integration to remedy these problems.

MailChimp and ConvertKIt are some third-party email service providers that integrate with Podia.

Zapier allows Podia to integrate with other email solutions, which allows podia users to share their data through this service.

Zapier also enhances Podia’s integration to reach some other useful third-party applications like FreshBooks and ClickFunnels. Third-party scripts can be added to your website. You can add third-party scripts to your website, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and ConvertBox.

Customer Support

Podia has the best customer service in the industry. You can email support with any questions or use the widget to chat live.

Other customers have noted Podia’s excellent support. Generally speaking, the Podia team will give you a response in 5-10 minutes from asking. This is provided you reach them during working hours. Outside that, you can still get a response, but it takes a longer time.

Podia also has a vast knowledge base that can be used to help you do different things on the platform. If you feel like finding the answer to your question independently, you can use this resource at hand to do it themselves

Lastly, one of their favorite features is their free offer to migrate your customers and audiences if you are on one of their paid plans. They will help move your content as well as your audience from another platform to Podia free of cost. Podia Vs Pude

At a quick glance, the Mover Plan can be enough for those just starting out. Even for small time creators, what Podia offers in the Mover Plan could be enough.

The Shaker Plan offers the most value, as it includes everything in the Mover Plan and adds unlimited webinars and affiliates. As talked about earlier, these features are especially useful when talking about growing your business and such. Podia Vs Pude

Meanwhile, the Earthquaker plan is something for those looking to go all out on their subscription. It actually benefits most who are looking for a bigger business. You also get 100,000 members of the community with the Earthquaker plan.

All the paid plans also allow you to create a custom domain for your Podia storefront as well as a logo that matches up with your brand.

Speaking of brands, the Shaker and Earthquaker plans allow you to remove the Podia branding from your products. The Mover plan does not allow you to remove the Podia branding from your products. Instead, your product will be branded with the P symbol for Podai.

Podia the Verdict

We can now see what Podia can do and decide if it is worth the effort.

Podia continues to gain ground in e-learning despite all the competition. This is probably because of its less complicated and easy to use user interface.

While most customer’s common complaint about Podia is its limited and “rigid” design. This feature is great for those with limited web design knowledge. Podia Vs Pude

An easy-to-use and understand UI is key to allowing people to focus on content creation instead of the logistics.

Podia’s price is another highlight. It is fairly cheap compared to other course-creation services. With an amount that’s lower than $50,you can almost set up your website to a functional state.

Sure, there might be a limit to what it can do, but you can think of it this way. You can Podia’s Mover plan to test the waters while getting the hang around of things. Sometimes simplicity is key. Too many features could be overkill and might overwhelm the user.

Their customer service is also something that we should take note of. WIth a customer service who answers queries fast and efficiently, one could even forgive the lack of a phone channel to ask for help. You can count on them to answer all your questions, no matter what time it is.

Overall, Podia is an excellent service especially for those who are just starting to get the hang of bringing their stuff on the online world. They have the basic necessities needed by someone to put up a successful website without overwhelming then.

I would highly recommend this site t
