Knowledge is the greatest gift that life has to offer. Without the knowledge we currently have, life would have been really really different and so is our way of life.

The way we give and gain knowledge remained mostly unchanged for most of history. It usually involves a teacher and student relation or a master and apprentice relation. The one who receives the instruction is the most likely to be the teacher.

Then there are those who learn by themselves. Self-study has become possible thanks to advances in writing and reading. With detailed instruction books, anyone can learn without the need for a teacher or master.

Then came the online revolution. While the popular opinion is that the advent of the internet revolutionized learning and education in general, it did not really change much except the way how people receive and consume information.

In my opinion, what the internet really did best was to democratize knowledge in a scale that had been unseen since the rise of instructional films and even the invention of the printing press even before that.

Teachers and teachers of the heart were able to share their knowledge via the internet to people they didn’t know. It enabled education and knowledge to cross borders without the need for visas or a flight ticket.

Most of it began on unorthodox websites like vimeo and youtube, but some even started as blogs. We now have dedicated websites that allow people to teach courses.

For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Legit Marketing Reviews’ YouTube channel. Do check out our article below, however, because it has a comprehensive overview of Podia.

Podia a Brief Overview Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Podia is an online platform that allows people to share their knowledge of different things while also making money. Basically, Podia customers make online courses that they can tailor to their students. These courses can be put on the platform by customers and sold to them.

Podia gives you the tools and hosts your online courses.

Podia’s market is not limited to online courses. Podia is one of the most popular digital content selling platforms. This content could be the aforementioned online courses. It could also be coaching, webinars, community, as well as other digital products.

Podia is headquartered in New York City. It has additional offices also in Austin Texas. Although it is relatively new, it seems somewhat old in internet terms. It was launched in 2014 by Spencer Fry, a man who is behind it.

Fry wanted a platform to give online creators an easier way to sell their products and connect with their audiences. He wanted the experience to be less hassle, but at the same time, provide these people with a welcoming and communal environment.

This resulted in Podia the website, which is intuitive, powerful and user friendly tool that was designed from scratch

Podia: Why do you use it?

Despite the number of online platforms available on the internet, Podia still stands out especially due to its creator-friendly policies. Podia has a digital shopfront that allows for instant payment from sales and does not charge any transaction fees. Yes, podia does not charge any transaction fees.

Podia extends its creator-friendly policies in the way their platform works. With an intuitive and comprehensive platform, creatives are able to execute their great ideas and visions even if they lack the technical know-how.

Podia makes it simple to get digital content on the market.

Even for those who already have an established digital content, Podia is still a very viable platform to transfer to. Some digital platforms offer too many features and could be considered overkill. Although too many options might seem appealing at first glance, it can lead to overwhelming experiences.

This lack of focus may even be the cause of why your business is going into decline. That is why Podia’s simple and easy to get platform is a much better option. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Podia’s website also allows your membership site as well as your selling platform to be integrated with each other. This is much better than if your membership site is hosted separately from the product. This is not only a hassle but it also takes away valuable time that you could have spent creating.

In short, using Podia allows you to focus on the “creating” side of things rather than the logistics and business side.

What Podia Can Do

Podia promotes themselves as ” Everything you need to know about creating, validating, and marketing online courses, all in one convenient place.” As such, to be able to back this claim, the platform has a bunch of features geared exactly for that.

A Custom Website Builder

The custom website builder allows users to create landing pages that are specific to what your brand is selling. Podia offers you to build this custom website with a custom domain or as a subdomain to Podia.

So podia offers you the flexibility of a more customized website and the simplicity of everything in one place.

An Email Marketing System

Podia lets you have an automated email marketing platform that allows for both one-time broadcasts and automated campaigns. Although you can also access this service via other websites, Podia’s tool is sufficient.

Using the one Podia provides allows you to save even more money.

Their email editor is also very elegant. You can even create automated sequences that are tailored to the buyer.

A live messaging widget

If you want to respond quickly to customers’ questions, live messaging is a great option. Quick customer service is something that most people look for nowadays. WIth this live messaging widget, you are able to provide just that.

Affiliate Marketing Program Capabilities

Affiliate marketing is essential if you wish to expand your product line. Podia users have the opportunity to take advantage of the platform’s capabilities. Users can increase their reach and sales by using partner promotion.

Digital Storefronts

You won’t be allowed to showcase your products if you don’t have a place to put them. A Digital Storefront also allows you to advertise the new or featured products in your website. Podia makes it possible to create an online store that only sells your products.

This storefront can be set up by any customer without the need for programming, programming, or design skills. It’s all thanks to the no coding approach implemented by Podia.

Course Dashboard

Podia is a service where customers can navigate their content easily. This is a crucial factor in deciding which service they want to use. With Podia’s intuitive interface, it is easy to navigate these pages with just a few clicks.

Putting up and uploading your lessons be it videos, audio podcasts, PDF document downloads, ebooks and more, have never been this easy.

Drip Content

You can also control the posting schedule with Podia. This is particularly important if you don’t want to take on too many lessons at once.

Course creators have the option to “choose when they want to schedule their content”. This benefits both the student and the teacher (Main Podia customer) as this system allows the student to avoid being overwhelmed and burnt out of the course.

Automatic Drip Content means that the teacher doesn’t have to manually modify each post in order to add another lesson or create a product.

Payment Integrations

Without payment integration, every feature is useless. Podia offers payment integrations that allow customers to pay with credit cards and PayPal worldwide. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Member Areas

Through Podia, you can create a membership area for your customers. A membership area is an option you can sell to your customers for a monthly or yearly fee where they get special and exclusive content in return. There are even giveaways you can host.

Membership Areas are also a great way to build customer trust and even a tight community, so having a prepared place where you can easily set it up is surely a welcome one.

What is Podia like?

This review wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t give you a true picture of the service. We will be looking at Podia’s Course Creation and Engagement Section as well as Site Design and Customization and Sales and Marketing to see how they feel.

typing-on-laptop

Course Creation and Engagement

First and foremost, we should tackle how the Podia handles course creation. This is particularly important because this is why most users want to pay for the Podia Service.

You can create unlimited courses with Podia. There is no limit to the number of courses you can create on Podia.

Podia supports text, embeds, quizzes, coaching and files for lessons. Podia has very few lesson types. It also lacks assessments, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, HTML5 content types and custom codes.

However what it lacks, it can embed and Podia can embed a lot. Podia can embed on over 1900+ platforms. These include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Dailymotion, vimeo and Youtube for video content
  • Spotify SoundCloud, and PodBean for Audio podcasts
  • Slide Share, Presentation, and Speaker Deck
  • Twitter, TikTok, Behance, and, Pinterest
  • Github and Codepen
  • Google Forms, Typeform, and Paper Form

Podia was designed to make it easy for students. They can guide themselves through your course with no problem at all. You can use your automated emails and drip content to make for a more enjoyable experience.

For students who have completed a course, you can add a quiz to the page and give them a certificate of completion. Of course, these features are optional.

It is important to remember that Podia can only feature courses. You can sell webinars, bundles and coaching as well as digital files.

By integrating the multiple websites mentioned above, you can create webinars as well as replay of these webinars to your customers. You can even bundle them along with your courses to create a more comprehensive package.

Site Design and Customization

For your websites, Podia offers templates that allow you to get on the exciting part easily and quickly. This holds true for product landing pages as well.

It is easy to create your product website, or landing pages. Each page is divided into a section wherein you can decide what to put in. You can even rearrange these pages just by dragging and dropping. You can also remove sections that you don’t need.

Podia has a good selection of customization options. Podia offers both the basics of fonts and colors, as well as customizable text box options. But that’s not all you get. This is why there are a lot of people who think Podia can be a little restrictive when talking about design.

That said, it seems this is what Podia has to sacrifice to maintain a ready to use and flexible website creator. Bear in mind, Podia’s site design page requires no coding. Drag and drop is all that’s required.

As for adding custom code they say it is available, but I haven’t found the option of where it is.

Podia lets you sell other things, in addition to courses. This feature requires that you have at least one digital product on your storefront. This is not a difficult task. You can do the same for these products like how you designed your websites.

To create unique sections for each product, you can use your landing page or front page. This makes it easy for customers and students to find what they are looking for and allows them to buy the product that is right for them.

Speaking of buying, the checkout page for the products has a smart and simple design. There is little to no clutter. It is simple to convert every customer into a buyer because there are no distractions distracting their attention while they pay.

Podia has a good selection of customization options. It provides only the essential things needed and thus, you have no worries of being overwhelmed by the options being presented.

Although Podia’s design offerings might seem restrictive to some, for others the simplicity of Podia’s designs is all they need. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Marketing and sales

Let’s lastly talk about Podia’s sales and marketing capabilities. This is also an important part of the Podia experience, or any course-creating platform in general as this gives you an idea how easy it is to sell to your potential customers.

> > Click Here to Check Out Podia < <

For the basics, Podia has two payment options you can use: Stripe or PayPal. You can offer your customers a flexible and customizable payment plan. You can either give them a one time big time payment or you can spread the payment overtime.

It is up to you.

As for the payment processing, Podia handles everything for you, so you don’t need to worry about anything. Stripe, a PCI compliant payment processor, securely stores your credit card and payment information.

Podia does not charge transaction fees, unlike other services. That means what you sell is yours alone and Podia does not get a cut of it. However, Stripe and PayPal fees still apply so you will have to pay those. The same applies to all platforms.

As for the marketing side, Podia offers some basic lead generation tools. They even allow you to offer a pre-launch sign-up form as well as a newsletter signup form to collect email addresses.

You can send both automated and one-off emails through their email marketing. This allows you send email campaigns to both existing and potential customers.

You can also customize your campaign emails to be sent in drip-out fashion and specify when they will be delivered.

However, what they provide is very basic, and as such it cannot replace your email service provider.

A real landing page capability and list management are two things that are missing. These are two very important things, but they are essential for your email marketing platform. Luckily, you can use third party integration to remedy these problems.

MailChimp and ConvertKIt are some third-party email service providers that integrate with Podia.

Podia has a Zapier integration too, which allows other email solutions that does not integrate directly to podia to pass users data via this service.

Zapier also enhances Podia’s integration to reach some other useful third-party applications like FreshBooks and ClickFunnels. You can even add third-party scripts to your website. Like Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ConvertBox, Deadline Funnel among others.

Customer Support

Podia’s customer support is among the best in the business. You can email support with any questions or use the widget to chat live.

Podia has received praises from other customers for their excellent customer service. Generally speaking, the Podia team will give you a response in 5-10 minutes from asking. That is of course provided that you contact them during work hours. Outside that, you can still get a response, but it takes a longer time.

Podia also has a vast knowledge base that can be used to help you do different things on the platform. You can also use this resource to find the answer to your question yourself if you prefer to search it on your own.

Lastly, one of their favorite features is their free offer to migrate your customers and audiences if you are on one of their paid plans. They will move your content and your audience from any other platform to Podia at no cost. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Price

Of course any review is not complete without talking about price. Price is a key factor that can make or break your decision about whether you want to use a service. In this case, Podia offers three types of plans: Mover ($39/mo), Shaker ($79/mo), Earthquaker($179/mo).

Prices do change from time to time. At the time this review was written, they were offering a discount on all plans. So visit the website to check out on their latest pricing.

At a quick glance, the Mover Plan can be enough for those just starting out. Even for small time creators, what Podia offers in the Mover Plan could be enough.

The Shaker Plan offers the most value, as it includes everything in the Mover Plan and adds unlimited webinars and affiliates. As talked about earlier, these features are especially useful when talking about growing your business and such. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Meanwhile, the Earthquaker plan is something for those looking to go all out on their subscription. It actually benefits most who are looking for a bigger business. The Earthquaker plan also gives you 100,000 community members.

All paid plans allow you to set up a custom domain and a matching logo for your Podia storefront.

Speaking of brands, the Shaker and Earthquaker plans allow you to remove the Podia branding from your products. The Mover plan does not allow you to remove the Podia branding from your products. Instead, your product will be branded with the P symbol for Podai.

Important to remember is that Podia provides a free plan. It is limited and, unlike paid plans, charges an 8$ transaction charge for all transactions.

The Verdict of Podia

Now that we’ve seen what Podia can do, we can finally judge if availing of the website is all worth it.

Amidst the competition, Podia is steadily gaining ground as a player in e-learning. Its user interface is simpler and more intuitive.

Podia’s “rigid” and limited design is the most common complaint from customers. However for people who have limited knowledge on designing websites, such a feature is a god send. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

An easy-to-use and understand UI is key to allowing people to focus on content creation instead of the logistics.

Podia’s price is another highlight. It is fairly cheap compared to other course-creation services. With an amount that’s lower than $50,you can almost set up your website to a functional state.

There might be limits to what it can do but it is possible to think about it this way. You can Podia’s Mover plan to test the waters while getting the hang around of things. Sometimes simplicity is key. Too many features could be overkill and might overwhelm the user.

Their customer service is also something that we should take note of. With a customer service that responds quickly and efficiently to queries, it is easy to overlook the absence of a telephone number for assistance. You can count on them to answer all your questions, no matter what time it is.

Podia is a great service, especially for people who are just getting started with the internet. They have the basic necessities needed by someone to put up a successful website without overwhelming then.

This site is highly recommended.

Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

podia-vs-competition

One of the most effective ways to make money online is by sharing knowledge, teaching others, coaching, or any other similar activities. This can be done in many ways.

Blogging is the most popular form of blogging. It is almost as old and well-known as the Internet itself. Although some believe that vlogging is its younger cousin, blogging has not lost its appeal. However, there are still people who love to read the content they’re interested in and not just videos.

Video essays are another way to learn about videos. These short video presentations can offer a lot of insight into certain topics especially when talking about music, literature, film, or arts in general.

Education is also becoming more popular thanks to video lectures and tutorials. I remember back in school, especially when Math is the subject, my classmates and I would often search tutorials on youtube to solve specifically confusing word problems.

It was a new way to learn and educate growing up. The knowledge seemed to be spreading wider and more easily accessible to more people.

It was only a matter of time when formal courses, and education would also build a branch on the online world.

It was then, the Course Building Websites were born.podia-logo

For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Legit Marketing Reviews’ YouTube channel. Do check out our article below, however, because it has a comprehensive overview of Podia.

Course Building Websites Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Learning Management Systems, also known as course building websites, are platforms, services or websites that provide digital content to a targeted audience.

These websites even allow learning to be done remotely. LMS is capable of remote and distance learning. However, it’s not the only one that can do this. Distance learning has been a thing since 1924. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

LMS, or distance learning via the internet, is therefore, more precise. LMS can either be hosted locally or via a vendor. Most vendors usually use the cloud to host courses or learning materials. These vendors usually follow a SaaS (Software as a service) model.

Learning Management Systems were especially popular during the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, when face-to-face school learning was impossible due to social distancing and isolation measures taken by different governments around the globe.

LMS websites have been around since then and vendors sites are still in existence. A lot of these websites that have long existed are now becoming household names due to their popularity and usage during the pandemic.

New websites are also popping up, creating buzz and trying their hand at being the next big thing.

While these sites mostly share a common goal (to be the preferred platform of learning and creating courses) more or less, some of them specialize in certain areas.

Podia an Overview

Podia is a Learning Management System that markets itself as an all-in-one platform. It enables you to sell online courses, coaching, webinars, digital downloads, or you can sell all of them in a bundle.

Among all LMS, it probably is one of the most affordable price plan. It is a great choice for course creators who are searching for an affordable LMS solution. At its economical price, it offers to allow you to create unlimited products and courses, perfect for markets who want to sell digital products.

Podia website builder is very simple and there is no coding required. Thus, it is a perfect fit for those who are in a rush and just want to get their courses or digital products out there. However, it does not sacrifice customization.

It is for this reason that there are a lot of users who think that Podia is a bit too rigid and restricting when designing websites. It is only expected as its website builder does not need coding.

For some features that are lacking, Podia offers a wide range of integrations. It allows you to add various email service providers, payment gateways and analytics tools to your website, from Zoom to Zapier.

Podia Features

Podia offers a number of features that allow its users to create a website and customize it in a way they want. It also offers enough tools to conduct your business.

Among the more affordable LMS websites, Podia probably has the best Membership and integration communities. You can even get it on all Podia plans.

Talking about plans, except for the free one, every tier on Podia’s subscription doesn’t take transaction fees from any of your purchases. That means, whatever you sell, the money is all yours. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Podia versus Kajabi

Kajabi: An Overview

Kajabi is a Learning Management System. It allows users to create products and courses while simultaneously hosting them.

It is also very advanced, with a lot of features such as automation that the platform is perfect for course creators and marketers who already have the experience in the field. Of course, to make use of its full potential, users must have the technical know-how to utilize all of Kajabi’s offerings.

Kajabi allows you to also sell memberships, coachings, communities and podcasts along with other digital products.

Kajabi offers a mobile app that is different from other LMSs. This is because smartphones have quickly become the most preferred device for almost everyone. It really gives the company a boost in terms of the market.

Kajabi Features

Kajabi offers many features that will make it worth the extra cost. Most of Kajabi’s features, such as their website builder, are extremely customizable.

Probably where Kajabi shines the most is in its marketing tools. While it offers the usual bells and whistles, what investors and the Kajabi’s competitors really envy is their automation system. Yes, that’s correct! Kajabi offers automation in lots of its features, especially their emails.

Kajabi’s Pipelines are another unique feature. Kajabi’s pipelines offer a lot to eliminate the need for funnel-building tools like ClickFunnel and other websites.

  • Interface – Logging in to Kajabi brings you to its dashboard. It is clean and minimalistic with minimal clutter. It has a modern, minimalist aesthetic. The accessibility is also satisfactory. All of Kajabi’s features can be accessed in as little as 3 to 5 clicks.

Kajabi’s homepage includes a search assistant. This can be used to help you navigate the site if you get lost or are too lazy to click on things. This will redirect you to the Kajabi App’s features and tools.

Kajabi’s page load times are very fast and provide you a smooth experience.

  • Course Creation – Kajabi’s course creator is extremely robust. First of all, it allows you to make different types of categories. This flexibility allows you to choose the best option depending on which course you are presenting to students.

There are many options: online courses, mini-courses and drip courses. You can also create your own custom course. To help in creating your courses, Kajabi provides you blueprints or templates for each product. Kajabi already provides a “skeleton” for your course. All you need to do is add content.

Kajabi also allows you to structure your course in categories and subcategories. This allows you to decide how these courses will be presented to your students. This is especially useful when you are “dripping” your content slowly.

As for content, Kajabi allows you to use the following to make your courses: text, audio, vidoe, assessments, images and files. These content can be combined and added to a single course. At the moment, Kajabi doesn’t offer live lessons.

As for the student’s side. Kajabi’s course delivery offers a sleek and minimal design. There is no clutter that can serve as a distraction to your students.

  • Marketing – At its most basic, Kajabi offers all of the expected products to make your products enticing to buyers. You can sell upsells and order bumps using Kajabi. This stuff can be customized to give you more value for money.

Podia versus Teachable

Teachable an Overview

Teachable is among the best online course platforms currently in the market. This LMS is used by course creators, teachers, professionals, coaches, entrepreneurs for business as well as teaching. You can even sell these courses, and coaching in a single bundle

Teachable’s greatest strength can be found in its course compliance feature. This feature is mostly missing from most LMS and online course platforms. This feature is not usually available on most LMS and online course platforms.

Teachable offers advanced reports about student progress and video analytics to demonstrate student engagement.

Teachable does not require integration to access its payment gateways. Instead, they can choose their own system. It even handles EU/VAT making your life and those of your European Students easier overall.

Teachable is also one of the most affordable LMSs available. It even offers a free plan that allows you to sell one course only. It does have its limitations. This plan is free and can be extremely useful if you are just starting out.

Teachable Features

  • Interface – Teachable’s interface is actually very neat and brings about a modern feel. Most features can be accessed through the right sidebar. Getting to the sub-features may need three to four clicks.

It does not have a search function but that is primarily because of how easy it is to get from one option to another.

Teachable’s pages load slower than other LMSs, but this is not noticeable and I wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasn’t actively comparing websites.

  • Course Creation – Teachable doesn’t provide any templates or pipelines to help you create courses. This setup can be difficult, especially for newbies in web design.

The sections of a course or content are divided into sections. Lectures can be found within each section. Content type can be text, video, files, quizzes, code examples, custom codes, and upsells.

These files can be combined into one lecture. For example, you could add a quiz to a video lecture. This might seem a hassle to set-up at first, but Teachable has a bulk upload feature that allows you to put up your files faster.

These files can be uploaded once they are saved.

As for delivery, Teachable also allows for drip scheduling, meaning you can drip your content depending on when your student enrolled. This feature does not drip lectures, but sections. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

Then there is the course player, which has a neat feature of allowing students to add personal notes, for them to use while learning. The only problem is that you will need to use the power editor to modify this player.

People who don’t know how to code could find themselves in this situation.

Also something to take note is Teachable’s Course Compliance Feature. This is the area where Teachable stands out from the rest. This feature allows you to control the way students see and consume your lectures.

From deciding the lecture order to making sure they watch the whole video lecture. You can even use quizzes as a checkpoint before they can proceed or pass a lecture.

The results can then be passed on the various detailed reports you can get from Teachable, which is another tool that you can use to effectively teach your students.

  • Marketing – Teachable provides basic marketing features like free previews, coupons and pre-selling courses. They function like the other LMS marketing features and they serve the same purpose of enticing others to buy your products.

As for email marketing, Teachable has the basic features that can get you what you need, however it does lack some features like, templates, sequences, and automations. If you think you want better options, you can integrate popular email services like MailChimp and ConvertKit as needed.

Teachable does not have an affiliate program. Because of this, you need to make affiliates on your own. It does however allow you to create affiliates for your product.

The website will handle the commissions of these affiliates through Teachable’s very own payment gateways. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

  • Design and customization – Teachable is not very customizable in terms of the overall theme. The service only gives you one theme. The only thing you can customize is the logo, branding, fonts, background color, and theme.

smiling-man

> > Click Here to Check Out Podia < <

That said, paying for the business plan will give you access to its power editor wherein you can use custom code that allows you to further modify the theme of your page.

The page builder proper is more customizable than expected. They provide you with several building blocks depending on your needs. You can even find block layouts to make banners, images with text and email. You can even get pricing for your products.

You can use CSS/HTML, just like the themes, to add more personalization to your website.

  • Payment Processors – Teachable is among the only LMS services that has their very own Payment Gateway. They have Teachable Payments and the Monthly Payment Gateway. The former is a godsend to EU students as they can handle EU/VAT calculations.

Teachable also has “Back Office” which is a service that will handle all affiliate payout. Sadly, if you want to use the good old Stripe and PayPal services, you would need to be on their professional plan or higher.

Teachable Payment Processors simplify the payment and checkout process for customers and students.

Teachable Price

Teachable offers four plans in total if we count the free one. Like the others, these plans differ in accessibility and features. To ensure which plan is for you, we have placed what they offer in each price point. You can also try the free plan to get a feel for Teachable.

Cons

  • The free plan does not have enough features to be called a plan.
  • Basic plan charges a 5% fee for your sales
  • They don’t use a drag-and-drop builder. They use custom CSS and power editors. This is bad news for non-techies

Podia versus Thinkific

Thinkific an Overview

Thinkific, another LMS service, puts course building at its forefront. You can create a website and then start building your courses.

Thinkific is also very easy to use and as such, it is one of the most beginner friendly online course creators on the market. In fact, it is so beginner friendly that Thinkific’s very own free plan allows you to create three courses, with no investment required. They do charge a transaction fee.

Thinkific flaunts itself as the “go-to platform for running an online course business”.

Thinkific’s core focus is on its curriculum creation capabilities. As such, most of the best features in this service can be found on the course creation.

However, this means that their marketing and selling aspects are not that good.

Thinkific Features

  • Interface – Logging in to Thinkific will take you to the admin area. This is your central point for all things Thinkific Platform.

You can access all features that Thinkific offers via the sidebar. Usually, these features are found and arranged in a logical manner. You might not be able to find certain features in the places you think they should be.

The interface is overall decent but it has its flaws.

  • Course Creation – Thinkific is known for its unique course creation system. Even its free plan offers a lot of options to make your course as enjoyable as it can be.

Thinkific’s platform allows you to use different types of media such as videos, pdf, audio, Google docs, captivates, storylines, among others. Thinkific also allows you to bulk upload your contents. However, this bulk upload is limited and you will have to look at and organize each lesson individually in order to fully customize them.

Thinkific allows you to drip-feed your content, allowing you to manage and pace your course. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

While it does not have a course compliance option like that of Teachable, Thinkific allows you to incentivize your students by using awards, leaderboards as well as scoring to motivate them in finishing your course.

Thinkific also allows you to manage your course in different ways. You can manage discussions, answer questions from students, and even approve or hide discussions.

Thinkific also allows you to manage quizzes and assignments as much as possible.

  • Marketing – This is probably where Thinkific is at its weakest. Most of their marketing features only include the essentials. What’s worse is that it might only be limited to a certain tier or higher.

Thinkific offers course bundles that can be used to create a membership website.

Thinkific does not have a sales funnel builder. You will also need integration. Even then, the whole checkout is a bit clunky with limited customization.

Email marketing at Thinkific is also very limited. You can only send your marketing emails to students who are already enrolled in your courses. As such, the best you can do is to tell them about new courses or products as well as send the email updates.

Thinkific allows you to add affiliates for your products and courses. The best part of it is that it allows you to select how many percent commission you can offer.

Affiliates will have their own dashboard that allows them to track the performance of each unique affiliate link. However, the affiliate tracking pixel cannot be changed and is permanently set to 30 days.

  • Design and Customization – Thinkinfic’s level of customizability is fairly decent. They offer three themes to choose from. You can then select from these three themes, your theme styles. These styles can be thought of as presets that allow you to choose your site’s aesthetic.

That said, their level of customizability is not as good as Kajabi. Thinkific also allows you to import developer coded themes. You can customize your themes with code if you have the technical knowledge.

Thinkific also offers a drag-and-drop page builder. In this builder, each block is called a section and there are 20 of them. It is very easy to use and you can add a section to your page with only just 1 click. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

  • Payment Processors – Thinkific has its own payment processor, Thinkific Payments. This tool is part of the TCommerce suite. This tool provides for a seamless experience especially for one time purchases, subscriptions, and payment plans.

This is not available in Canada, the UK and the USA. Other than those countries, Stripe integrations and Paypal integrations can be used.

Thinkific Price

Thinkific offers four plans, including a free one. Their free plan is one of the best as it give you the most features only being limited to the number of courses you can make and sell with them.

That said, Thinkific also offers a Growth feature that gives more powerful tools in their Pro plan. Thinkific Plus is also available for enterprise clients.

The Verdict Podia Vs Thinkific Vs TeachablePodia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

We can now see how Podia compares with other Learning Management Systems. Through this, I hope you can find the right platform to host your products, courses and businesses.

Verdict: Podia versus Kajabi

Podia and Kajabi function pretty similarly as they are both all-in-one platforms. Choosing one or the other comes down to two factors: price and customizability. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable

You should choose Podia if you want an affordable all in one platform and you don’t need much customization for your product. Podia is affordable and allows unlimited course uploads.

If you don’t have the budget but still want a personal touch, Kajabi is the right choice. Also, if you would want an easier time in marketing and updating your customers, Kajabi’s automation and advanced automation has got you covered.

Verdict: Podia versus Teachable

This matchup is much more difficult to compare to the one above. Teachable and Podia are experts in different areas. Your business’s direction would determine your decision.

If you are looking to sell digital products such as memberships, coachings and courses, Podia is the right choice. As such, Podia would better fit your needs.

Teachable is the best choice if you are looking to concentrate more on the “course” rather than “teaching”. Teachable offers a stronger course-building platform than Podia. Also, Teachable’s greatest and most unique feature is its course compliance which helps to properly monitor your student’s course completion.

Verdict: Thinkific versus Podia

There is nothing really much to say here except for the fact that Thinkific is basically like a cheaper version of Teachable, as such picking between these two would be basically the same as picking between Podia and Teachable

You should choose Podia if you wish to focus on selling your digital products and you would prefer an all in one digital platform. Podia also has a more robust marketing tool compared to Thinkific, so that would be a plus for some people.

You should choose Thinkific if you would rather focus on making courses, but you don’t want to pay Teachable’s high prices. Thinkific is also a good platform to get used to making online courses with, as their free plan requires little to no investment, despite being more limited. Thinkific does not have a course compliance feature. Instead, it focuses on positive and incentivized motivation. Podia Vs Thinkific Vs Teachable
